有同学说,作文有什么,不就是把要求的意思表达出来就好了?你错了!我曾经做过这样一个试验,让初一的学生尝试写作的高考题,看两幅图写学校的变化,发现他们也都能用他们所掌握的词汇把变化说清楚。然而他们的分数,如果按照高考标准批改,平均分只有7分多。
与中国人传统的谦逊modest不同,高考英语写作是炫耀自我showing off的一个极其特殊的过程。同样表示吃惊,I’m surprised.是一个初一学生的专利,而高中学生如果写不出astonished大吃一惊,shocked震惊的话,那和初中小孩无异。所以,想得高分,一定要使用高级词汇。
另外,关于为什么一定要使用高级词汇,从阅卷角度看,大家有必要了解一些高考阅卷的过程。
第一天上午,召集所有新的阅卷老师,布置要求,统一标准,然后大家开始阅卷,但第一天上午速度奇慢,因为要不断地商量,达到什么程度呢?大家对同一水平的作文的评分要惊人的相似,直到大家达到这一水平之后,第二天就开始加速了。那么老师是如何在较短的时间内保证自己的高正确率,而大家对你的卷子的评分又是惊人的相似呢?
原因是高考阅卷打的是印象分,时间有限,老师不可能逐词逐句去推敲,修改,只能首先保证内容完整,没有致命的语法错误,然后再看有没有好的句型和高级词汇的使用。而文章中贴切使用的高级词汇就相当于一颗颗耀眼的明珠,让你那本不出色的作文极其出彩,从而得到高分。
遣词造句实践是金
有同学还说,astonished我也认识,但是我怎么自己写的时候就想不起来用呢?原因很简单,就是你只是认识而已,没有实践,大家记住,每次你写作文时脑海中最先闪现的词汇是要考虑换掉的词汇。每当你自己写作时写到一个人聪明的时候,你写下去clever,想想是不是能够升级成intelligent(Intel inside英特尔的计算机都有一个聪明的核); 每当你写一个人害怕,你马上落笔I’m afraid?先不要!想想是不是修改成scared, terrified或者frightened,甚至使用词组be scared to death(吓死了)或者you scared the shit out of me(你把我魂都吓出来了)。
高考的英文单词可以分为活的词汇和休眠词汇,休眠的词汇是指你认识它,却没有主动使用它的意识。大家要培养一种主动使用高级词汇的意识,摇醒在你脑中休眠的漂亮高级词汇,停止使用good, very good, very very very good这样的表达,转而投向wonderful, excellent, outstanding, super,terrific这些宛如衣服上的珍珠的词汇,为你的作文增光添彩。
用英式思维写英文
第一句:You should be different.你该做一个与众不同的人。反映在作文中也是一样,老师看99份卷子都是good, good, very good,到100份卷子他看到outstanding的时候,这个时候他会露出欣慰的笑容,在长期的重复劳动中得到些许的安慰,自然,他也会让你的作文分数stand out(站出来,与众不同)了。
第二句:You should be special. Special这个词,反映了中西方的差异。说一个人special,外国人和中国人的理解是截然不同的。比如说,小时候,你做了一件和别的小朋友不同的事情——上课指出老师的错误,老师会批评你,你怎么那么与众不同啊。爸妈会告诉你,要合群,要给老师留面子,不要这么古怪,枪打出头鸟,鹤立鸡群很危险,凡此种种。而外国人同样的情况,老师会说,很好,You are special.很有思想,父母知道了也会称赞你,要有思辨的精神。在电影《漂亮女人》中(Pretty Woman),李察·基尔对大嘴美女朱莉娅·罗伯茨的台词也是:You are such a special girl. 这是极大的赞美。 那么既然我们写英文作文,在文化上就要借鉴。
第三句:You should be unique. 你要做独一无二,举世无双的人。我们在幼儿园的时候,比如说大家都画狗,有的小朋友不会画,老师就教大家,大家看过蜡笔小新都知道。中国的老师好多在黑板上画出一个狗,大家来模仿,造成的结果是大家都一样。国外的老师是绝不可能给出一个标准答案,大家按照自己的理解画出的狗也更不相同。有的脑袋上有个光环,还有的长了翅膀,问他为什么,答曰是我们家的狗死后变成了天使,这就是外国文化中强调的差异性。 所以,大家要想成功,在兼顾协同工作cooperate的基础上,要尽量能够与众不同。
虽然枪打出头鸟,但早起的鸟儿还有虫吃呢。希望大家做早起的鸟,辛苦一点,多多积累和实践高级词汇。另外,大家看我们刚才讲的这三句话,形容一个人从different到special到unique不也是词汇等级上的递进吗?
最后,用一句杜甫的诗来说明我的观点,“为人性僻耽佳句,语不惊人死不休。”

篇3:高考英语写作高分句型
一、词汇注意“三原则”
A. 复杂原则
如给出的要点中的有“搜索信息”、“浏览网页”等,考生在选词时一定要精益求精。 多数考生看到“搜索”,马上反应出了"look for information" 。当然这个短语没有错,但是苏州高考写作课堂上我们一再地向学生强调“不要一味地使用小学初中词汇,而要适当地复杂化”。我们可以设想当千军万马的考生异口同声咬定“搜索信息”的英文表达是"look for information",阅卷官的审美将会出现何等程度的重度疲劳时,考生应该反省:可不可以不用look for?于是关于“寻找”的适当复杂化表达马上出来了,如"search for ,hunt for" ,时髦一点的考生甚至可以用"goggle for"。这样,平淡无奇的“寻找”马上变得“百花齐放、百家争鸣”,而考生的分数也正是由于这样一些闪光词汇的加入而扶摇直上,身价倍增。
B. 转换原则
部分考生看到“编辑文本”、“点播音乐”这样“时尚达人”般表达方式就开始眼花缭乱了。殊不知,当他们在绞尽脑汁想出对应的英文翻译时,时间老人已在暗渡陈仓。这时,如果考生能够想到“同义转换”即“不会说的绕着说,没把握的换着说”,你会发现原来“柳暗花明又一村”的境地离自己是如此地近。如:“编辑文本”无非就是对我们之前的文章进行修改,如果考生不会edit,马上想到近一点的change,或者是correct 甚至是perfect 都可以。至少考生不会有语法错误,而且不会因为用词上的纠结而延误战机。
C. 温暖原则
在苏州的高考写作课堂上我们一再强调:孤独的名词用形容词来修饰,孤独的形容词可以用副词来修饰。如此文中,被cute, handy, smart等形容词修饰过的mouse 要远远比一个孤零零的mouse来得可爱。同理,被most, extremely, extraordinarily等副词修饰过的形容词effective 要比形单影只的effective来得精彩。
二、高分句型使文章“熠熠生辉”

研 习
“没有规矩,不成方圆。”对于一般英语学习者而言,写出优秀的文章有赖于后天习得,但并不意味着机械背诵、生吞活剥,或者照搬照抄、人云亦云。所谓研习,需要有独立思考和个人的判断,本着“他山之石,可以攻玉”的精神,汲取文章的精华部分加以研究。研习主要侧重两个方面,包括文章章法和语言表达。文章章法指文章的行文思路、布局谋篇、结构安排、逻辑顺序。许多学习者面对一个话题,可能存在两种不同的困惑,一是下笔千言,但离题万里;二是思绪万千,却无从落笔。导致两种困惑的根源皆在于欠缺思考问题、组织思路的恰当方式,以至于文章不得要领、章法紊乱。这就要求我们从全篇脉络角度多研习范文,之后领悟如何以演绎法行文、怎样用归纳法谋篇以及如何围绕特定话题拓展思路等等。此外,研习还要侧重于语言表达,包括遣词造句和句子、段落之间的各种衔接手段,以期在自己日后的写作中派上用场,因为英文写作皆通一理。只有善于借鉴,勤加研究,才会借他人的优势和长处,提高自己的写作水平。
背 诵
背诵是提高写作的又一有效途径。要学好写作文,首先要处理好语言输入与输出之间的关系。前者是后者的前提条件。如果头脑空空如也,就根本谈不上写出像模像样的文章。只有读过大量东西,并且有意识地将其中精彩部分储存于记忆之中(commit the highlights to memory),才能保证下笔流畅、文通字顺。因此,背诵对于写作极为重要。但背诵不是机械记忆,而是有选择性的背诵,是有意义的记忆。因为机械背诵的结果要么是记忆很快就荡然无存、了无痕迹,要么是无法活学活用、付诸实践。背诵包括五个方面:重点词汇、常用套语、精彩句子、优秀段落、经典篇章。

新课型打破了“做卷子——对答案——讲答案”的刻板定式。在一节英语阅读课上,记者看到了有趣的一幕——老师竟与学生“调转”了位置:“这道阅读题选A为什么对?选B为什么错?……”以往以老师主讲的解题分析,全由学生自评自析。
“新课型的设置不仅让学生掌握了解题技巧,还有助于把握出题人的思路,举一反三。”来自新兴县惠能中学的英语老师罗广慧介绍,学生在完成分组探究后,老师将会进行点评,“主要评价学生们的解题思路对不对,哪里没有点透等”。

一、长短句原则
工作还得一张一驰呢,老让读者读长句,累死人!写一个短小精辟的句子,相反,却可以起到画龙点睛的作用。而且如果我们把短句放在段首或者段末,也可以揭示主题:

如此可见,长短句结合,抑扬顿挫,岂不爽哉?牢记!

二、主题句原则
国有其君,家有其主,文章也要有其主。否则会给人造成“群龙无首”之感!相信各位读过一些破烂文学,故意把主体隐藏在文章之内,结果造成我们稀里糊涂!不知所云!所以奉劝各位一定要写一个主题句,放在文章的开头(保险型)或者结尾,让读者一目了然,必会平安无事!

四、短语优先原则
写作时,尤其是在考试时,如果使用短语,有两个好处:其一、用短语会使文章增加亮点,如果老师们看到你的文章太简单,看不到一个自己不认识的短语,必然会看你低一等。相反,如果发现亮点—精彩的短语,那么你的文章定会得高分了。其二、关键时刻思维短路,只有凑字数,怎么办?用短语是一个办法!比如:
I cannot bear it.
可以用短语表达:I cannot put up with it.
I want it.
可以用短语表达:I am looking forward to it.
这样字数明显增加,表达也更准确。
五、多实少虚原则
原因很简单,写文章还是应该写一些实际的东西,不要空话连篇。这就要求一定要多用实词,少用虚词。我这里所说的虚词就是指那些比较大的词。比如我们说一个很好的时候,不应该之说nice这样空洞的词,应该使用一些诸如generous, humorous, interesting, smart, gentle, warm-hearted, hospital 之类的形象词。再比如:
走出房间,general的词是:walk out of the room
但是小偷走出房间应该说:slip out of the room
小姐走出房间应该说:sail out of the room
小孩走出房间应该说:dance out of the room
老人走出房间应该说:stagger out of the room
所以多用实词,少用虚词,文章将会大放异彩!
3)因果(so, so, so)
昨天在街上我看到了一个女孩,然后我主动搭讪,然后我们去咖啡厅,然后我们认识了,然后我们成为了朋友…可见,讲故事的时候我们总要追求先后顺序,先什么,后什么,所以然后这个词就变得很常见了。其实这个词表示的是先后或因果关系!
The snow began to fall, so we went home.

4)失衡句(头重脚轻,或者头轻脚重)
有些人脑袋大,身体小,或者有些人脑袋小,身体大,虽然我们不希望长成这个样子,可如果真的是这样了,也就必然会吸引别人的注意力。文章中如果出现这样的句子,就更会让考官看到你的句子与众不同。其实就是主语从句,表语从句,宾语从句的变形。
举例:This is what I can do.
Whether he can go with us or not is not sure.
同样主语、宾语、表语可以改成如下的复杂成分:
When to go, Why he goes away…
5)附加(多此一举)
如果有了老婆,总会遇到这样的情况,当你再讲某个人的时候,她会插一句说,我昨天见过他;或者说,就是某某某,如果把老婆的话插入到我们的话里面,那就是定语从句和同位语从句或者是插入语。
The man whom you met yesterday is a friend of mine.
I don’t enjoy that book you are reading.
Mr liu, our oral English teacher, is easy-going.
其实很简单,同位语--要解释的东西删除后不影响整个句子的构成;定语从句—借用之前的关键词并且用其重新组成一个句子插入其中,但是whom or that 关键词必须要紧跟在先行词之前。
6)排比(排山倒海句)
文学作品中最吸引人的地方莫过于此,如果非要让你的文章更加精彩的话,那么我希望你引用一个个的排比句,一个个得对偶句,一个个的不定式,一个个地词,一个个的短语,如此表达将会使文章有排山倒海之势!
Whether your tastes are modern or traditional, sophisticated or simple, there is plenty in London for you.
Nowadays, energy can be obtained through various sources such as oil, coal, natural gas, solar heat, the wind and ocean tides.
We have got to study hard, to enlarge our scope of knowledge, to realize our potentials and to pay for our life. (气势恢宏)
要想写出如此气势恢宏的句子非用排比不可!
七、挑战极限原则
既然是挑战极限,必然是比较难的,但是并非不可攀!
原理:在学生的文章中,很少发现诸如独立主格的句子,其实也很简单,只要花上5分钟的时间看看就可以领会,它就是分词的一种特殊形式,分词要求主语一致,而独立主格则不然。比如:
The weather being fine, a large number of people went to climb the Western Hills.
Africa is the second largest continent, its size being about three times that of China.
如果您可一些出这样的句子,不得高分才怪!
