That people living in the society have a strong sense of competition is considered to be a basic qualification, which motivate them to work hard and compete not only with their peers in one country, but also in the world. 

有着强烈竞争意识的中国人被认为是一种基本的素质，这促使他们努力工作，不仅仅跟同一个国家的人们去竞争，而且包括全世界的竞争

Competition in scientific technologies plays an increasingly important role in every aspect in the fast-developing society. 

在发展中国家的社会里，科技领域的竞争起着越来越重要的作用。Government thereby put forward series of policies to attract overseas scientists to come to China  to communicate in advanced technologies and set fund for native young scientists to make contributions.  

政府出台一系列的政策去吸引海外的科学家参与国内先进技术的的交流，并且为有贡献的青年科学家设定青年基金作为奖励。

Competitive spirits make people more energetic to meet challenging problems. Without competition, the development in society will stop , not to mention the brilliant civilization. 

竞争精神让面临困难挑战的人们更加精神焕发。没有竞争，社会的发展将会停止，更不要说灿烂文明的社会。

Competition helps a nation to become more powerful than others. Moreover, competition makes a person stand  out in the crowd. Competition has a positive impact on both personal development and national development.

竞争有助于一个民族的壮大。并且，竞争能够使得个体在人群中更加出类拔萃。所以说竞争对于个体的发展个民族的强大有着积极的意义
