　　in recent years, many people become more and more concerned about the importance of a name. they choose very carefully the names for their children and sometimes even for the shop, restaurant or the company they run. they consider that a name can influence a person’s whole life. what’s more, some people believe that sometimes a good name would bring good luck.
　　however, people’s view varies from person to person. not everyone thinks a deliberately chosen name really means so much. they argue that a name is just a name, to which people shouldn’t attach too much superstitious ideas. success depends much more on hardworking and down-to-earth attitude than how you name a shop or a person.
　　as far as i am concerned, i favor the latter opinion. although a carefully chosen name can tell the best wishes of the elder for the young generation, we still ought not to rely on the fortune a name can bring, nor can we blame our occasional bad luck on it. （160词）

　　从命题形式上看，近几年的六级作文题几乎没有变化，均为提纲式命题作文，而且都是典型的三段式结构，比较好写。由此看来，命题者在命题形式上保持了相对的稳定性，便于考生学习复习过程中有的放矢。
　　从写作的题材要求看，与往年的有点不一样。过去的写作内容往往涉及学生的学习生活等学生们最为熟悉的内容，如08年写“大学生心理健康”、“电子图书”，07年的“数字化产品”、“雷锋精神”，06年“阅读经典著作”等，都是大学生们再熟悉不过的东西。
　　今年要求写“名字的重要性”，从题材上看也许有些让人意外，但实际上是在情理之中。写作考查考生的语言运用能力，打好了足够的语言基础，任何题目都能展示考生的语言运用能力，因此，从某种意义上讲，也可看作一种“反押题”的宣示。“名字的重要性”这个命题出的相当的好。一方面避开了猜题押题的投机行为，更重要的是以考试的形式，向学生灌输“提倡科学，反对迷信”的思想，对帮助大学生树立正确的人生观有着非常正面的积极意义。
　　“命名的重要性”虽然不是学生特别熟悉或看重的内容，但也是社会热点之一。由此看来，为了增强我们今后复习备考的针对性，我们必须还要关注身边的小事、社会热点等，时刻做有心人。

　　行文思路：
　　1)根据题纲“有人认为名字很重要”提出这种社会现象，列举一到三个例子，分析这种现象的原因及人们的心理。
　　2)采用正确的段落过渡手段，引出有人持不同看法，如however, people’s view varies from person to person等。进而指出名字与运气、名字与成功的关系，同时对这种迷信思想给与批判。
　　3)支持上面的一种观点，简单说说理由，指出名字没有好坏，它与运气和成功没有因果关系。

　　在具体写作过程中，考生要把握以下几点：第一、提出清晰的观点，然后作出符合逻辑的展开。首先考虑好观点，再将观点展开并划分成多个短句，最后按英语的语法句法特点和要求进行表述。第二、表达时用自己有把握的句型句式，不要仅仅为了突出所谓的新意而找些生僻词汇，也许没记准而出现拼写错误，也许用词不当，类似问题要尽量避免。第三、在熟练准确的基础上用少量的大词和较为复杂的句型结构，会为文章增色不少，使文章的得分档次得到提升。如范文中的词汇deliberately chosen name，down-to-earth attitude及句型to which people shouldn’t attach too much superstitious ideas等都是文章的闪光点。
